Do I need to own a car already?

No. We offer a full turnkey solution which includes sourcing the right donor car for you.

Question 2

I already own a classic car. Can you convert mine?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If you own a Range Rover, Land Cruiser or any of our other models, we can use this as a donor vehicle, subject to an inspection of its condition.

How does the process work?

1. Choose your classic car model and pay an initial refundable deposit to secure your build slot. 2. Finalise the build specification with the Inverted team. 3. Once the non-refundable deposit is paid, we source a donor car (if required) and begin. 4. The car undergoes a full concours-quality restoration, including acid dipping, e-coating and future-proofing to ensure longevity. 5. Your new powertrain installed and your bespoke interior is completed. 6. Following testing and final payment, your car is delivered to a location of your choice.

How long does the whole process take?

An Inverted build takes between 12–18 months to deliver, though in many cases it is faster. Each car takes approximately 2,500–4,000 man hours to complete.

Do you just build Range Rover Classics?

No. We also offer Toyota Land Cruisers, Land Rover Defenders, Land Rover Series II / III and Mercedes G-Wagons. We consider a limited number of bespoke builds each year — please get in touch to discuss further.

Can I test drive a car prior to purchasing?

Yes. Our prototype and demonstration vehicle — a 2-door Range Rover Classic — is available for test drives. Please get in touch to book an appointment with our founder, Harry.

What is the range of your electric cars?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the model, Inverted cars have a range of between 150–250 miles (241–400 km).

What is the electric on-road performance like?

Accepted Answer

On-road performance is drastically improved. An electric classic has a large increase in power and torque for faster acceleration and higher speed, and larger brakes and improved suspension create a fun and engaging drive.

What is the electric off-road performance like?

Accepted Answer

In an Inverted 4×4 classic, off-road performance is arguably improved. Instant torque from the electric motor, coupled with a centrally mounted LSD and the original axles — including diff locks on certain models — creates easy-to-use and improved off-road ability.

How long does it take to charge?

Our cars are fitted with a CCS rapid charger offering up to 75 kW. With our 82 kWh pack, a 20–80% charge takes approximately 40 minutes.

Do you supply a warranty?

Yes. Our cars are supplied with a 12-month warranty.

Are your cars registered as a new electric car?

Accepted Answer

No. Our cars keep their original registration — the only change on the V5 is that the fuel type is updated to 'electricity'.
